Should you prepay automatic gratuities?
The same cannot be said for automatic gratuities.Unlike the discounts you can obtain for prepaying for drink packages and other add-ons, you will not receive a discount for prepaying your automatic gratuities.However, many cruisers (like myself) prefer to prepay in order to prevent being hit with a large bill at the conclusion of the voyage.It’s nice to know that my finances are in order before I leave sail!The only costs that should display on my final tab are any extras that I opt to purchase over the course of the journey.
However, if you do not wish to prepay, that is also OK.The cruise line will calculate your price each day, and at the end of the voyage, they will charge the credit card on file that you provided.
Can you remove or adjust autogratuities on a cruise?
