Where does the XL end and the XLT begin? Is the 900A better than the 701A? We make sense of it for you in our trim and package level guide.

    1. The Ford F-150 is the flagship model in the company’s portfolio.
    2. The year 2021 will be memorable because it will mark the beginning of the release of the much-anticipated new model.
    3. We’ve finally gotten our hands on some time in the newly redesigned trucks.
    4. Spoiler alert: we think they’re great.
    5. We anticipate that many of you will enjoy them as well, and that you may even consider adding one to your garage.
    6. When it comes to the F-150, there are both good and bad news.
    • However, the good news is that there are several choices, settings, and Ford F-150 models from which to pick.
    • Sadly, there are an overwhelming number of available choices, combinations, and F-150 trims to pick from.
    • Is it really necessary to spend nearly ten thousand dollars extra for a Lariat when an XLT would suffice?
    • What exactly is the distinction?
    • You can use a guide to help you.
    • In our brief tour to the 2021 Ford pickup vehicles, we recently provided you with a rundown of all of the Ford pickup trucks.
    • This guide was written at the most high level possible, and it was mostly concerned with the capabilities of each vehicle as well as their pricing points.
    • I’m wondering what the towing and payload capacities are, as well as what engines are available.
    • That may help you narrow down your choices for truck series to watch……………………..
    • The assumption is that you read the material and have chosen that the F-150 is right for you this time.
    • We will concentrate on the F-150 trims and examine the standard features as well as the available options in greater depth.

This isn’t so much about the performance numbers as it is about the extras that come with different packages and trim levels. We will not go through every single trim variation or option available, but we will go over the major features you can anticipate at each trim level and level of performance.

    5. However, just though you choose the standard model does not rule out the possibility of customizing it.
    6. You may also upgrade from the 100A Standard package to the 101A High package, which is the next step higher.
    • You will be able to obtain power things such as locks and windows as a result of this.

    • As long as you additionally upgrade the engine and opt for the 101A High package, the FX4 Off-Road Package is also available on the XT.

Take A Look at the 2021 F-150 Tow Packages!

    1. The Ford F-150 is a popular vehicle in the United States.
    2. However, this does not rule out the possibility that some individuals will have questions.
    3. Our tow packages, for example, are frequently the subject of inquiries.
    4. We respond to all inquiries promptly.
    5. Is the towing capacity of the F-150 the same as that of the trims?
    6. Will this have an impact on the way my automobile operates?
    • These are legitimate concerns.
    • In order to better serve you, we’ve prepared a two-part blog series to address your questions and assist you in determining which plan is best for you.

    What Is a Tow Package?

    • Let’s start with the fundamentals. To believe that a tow package is nothing more than a trailer hitch is a common misconception. However, it is much more than that, and it is incredibly useful to the overall condition of your car. It’s also important to note that not every vehicle equipped with a hitch is also equipped with a towing package. Of course, the hitch is the most important component of a towing kit. These hitches are available in two different configurations: ball hitch and receiver hitch. You can carry many types of loads if you have a ball, and the size of the ball dictates what types of loads you may haul. The same can be said for the receiver size, which is a square tube that takes a ball and then holds the ball in place with a hitch pin to complete the circuit. Wiring to link the trailer to the vehicle’s lighting system
    • a tow package that includes all of the items listed above plus other items.
    • Suspension and braking upgrades
    • drivetrain upgrades such as a better transmission
    • and interior upgrades.

All of these are necessary in order to remain compliant with safety requirements while also ensuring that your vehicle is capable of performing its intended function. There may be additional charges depending on your towing package. With Bayou Ford, you can learn even more.

Want to Know More About the Pro Power Onboard Options?

    • So, what exactly is the Pro Power Onboard system? Some professions may necessitate the possession of an electrical power source. But have you ever considered that your truck may be the root of the problem? Because of this revolutionary technology, your pickup truck may be transformed into a mobile generator that can produce electricity for nearly any type of electrical equipment, appliance, system, or gadget on the market. You will be able to bring a new level of convenience to your job or activity as a result of this in particular. Pro Power Onboard is a 2.0 kW system. Exclusively available on the gas-powered F-150, this feature provides two 120-volt, three-prong outlets for convenience. Camping, landscaping, and modest building tasks are all excellent uses for this product. Pro Power Onboard is available on all series with gas engines, with the exception of the 3.3L PFDI V6. It produces 2.4 kW of power. With the exception of the Limited, this is standard with the 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6. It has the ability to run equipment for up to 85 hours on a single tank of petrol! This configuration includes two 120-volt bed outlets as well as 7.2 kW of Pro Power Onboard. Do you need enough power to run a whole tailgate party? Because a normal generator only produces roughly 4 kW of electricity, the F-150 hybrid allows you to reach new heights. This is a unique feature of the vehicle. Four 120-volt outlets, as well as a 240-volt outlet for heavy equipment, allow you to power everything you need. This option is available on all series equipped with the 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6, and is standard on the Limited equipped with the 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6.

In the 2021 model year, the Pro Power Onboard is a new addition that provides significant benefits for your activities. Keep track of your electricity use with the help of the app or the touch screen on your vehicle. You can monitor and operate the system from either of these locations, as well as switch it on and off at will.

    Curious About the Co-Pilot Packages?

    • We could all use a little assistance throughout our journey. But what does Ford have to offer in order to make things simpler on our customers? Take a look at the different Co-Pilot Package options and select the most appropriate one for your new Ford in 2021! Ford Co-Pilot360 TM 2.0 is an advanced driver assistance system. Post-collision braking, basic brake assist, a Blind Spot Information System, and other useful features are all new for 2021, and they are fantastic and convenient. For the XL, Ford Co-Pilot360 TM Assist 2.0 is an optional feature
    • however, it is standard in the XLT and Limited models. The next level of safety and convenience has been achieved! As a result, you may now take use of additional features such as adaptive cruise control, emergency steering assist, and more! The XL does not have this feature, and it is optional on the XLT and Lariat. However, the Ford Co-Pilot360 TM Active 2.0 Prep Package is included as standard equipment on the King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims. If you’re driving with Adaptive Cruise Control, this hands-free feature will help you keep your car centered in the lane. In addition to Not Engaged, Hands-free mode, and Lane-Centering Mode, it comes with three other driving modes that may be used to customize your driving experience. How To Tell If F150 Has Max Tow Package?

    1. There’s a good reason why the Ford F-150 Full Pickup Size truck is the best-selling car in America: it’s a great truck.
    2. It may function both as a workhorse and as a vehicle for family transportation.
    3. Work trucks, luxury trucks, and even an off-road raptor are among the many models available in the company’s extensive model lineup.
    4. A Ford truck is a very competent machine in and of itself, but a Ford truck that has been outfitted with a correctly installed tow package may significantly improve the overall performance of the vehicle.
    5. In the sections that follow, I’ll explain how to identify a tow package, and more particularly, how to determine whether a Ford F-150 has a maximum tow package.

    What is a Tow Package?

    • A tow package is a comprehensive collection of all of the vehicle parts required to tow a load of your choosing safely and reliably, all in one place. Simply simply, a tow package increases the weight rating of the towing vehicle, allowing it to haul a greater amount of weight with more reliability. It is customary to think of the tow package as nothing more than a trailer hitch, but the reality is that it is far more complicated. Much more is involved in putting together a tow package to guarantee that you can securely transport your weight without jeopardizing your safety or the condition of your vehicle. A tow package for your vehicle may have the following features in addition to a hitch platform: a more powerful engine
    • a more durable gearbox and brakes
    • a more robust electrical, wiring, and cooling system to withstand big loads
    • Upgraded suspension system (e.g., improved shock absorbers, etc.)
    • improved steering system.
    • The gearing in the rear-end (differential) has been improved to make towing simpler.

However, it’s crucial to remember that not all of these features will be included in a tow package given by the manufacturer of your car. Some products may only possess a minor fraction of the characteristics listed above. The characteristics differ from one manufacturer to the next, as well as depending on the sort of tow package that has been factory-installed on your truck.

    F150 Tow Packages

Ford’s F150 vehicles are available with two different trailer towing packages: the Basic Trailer Tow Package and the Max Trailer Tow Package. The following items are included in the Basic Trailer Tow Package:

    Basic Tow Package Features

    • Class IV trailer hitch
    • standard 4/7-pin wiring configuration
    • Every engine, with the exception of the basic 3.3L V6, has an engine cooler.
    • Front stabilizer bar that is significantly heavier
    • There is also an auxiliary gearbox oil cooler (available only on certain versions)
    • Lighting on the tailgate makes it simpler to hitch in the dark.
    • Backup Assist (which makes reversing with a trailer connected considerably easier)
    • Pro-trailer Backup Assist
    • A Smart Trailer Tow Connector (which monitors the electrical systems of the trailers to which it is connected)

When it comes to towing weight, the F150 with the Basic Tow Package (Factory-installed) outperforms a truck that has just been equipped with a hitch and wiring.

    Max Tow Package

    1. The Max Tow Package raises the truck’s towing capabilities to the highest level in its class.
    2. All of the mechanical and technological enhancements that come with a standard towing package are included in this upgraded towing package, and it also adds some additional essential features on top of those changes.
