Since its inception with the C4 Corvette in 1984, the RPO Z51 designation has always been associated with a more serious Corvette.It’s unquestionably a step above the standard model, but it doesn’t attract nearly as much attention these days as it used to, due to models such as the Z06 and ZR1.In just a few words, we’ll try our best to tell you all there is to know about what has made the Z51 Corvette so distinctive over the course of four generations of racing.While it is not a comprehensive guide, it will provide you with a good understanding of the fundamentals of what the Z51 package contains for each generation.The RPO FE7 — Gymkhana Suspension — package, which was available on late C3 Corvettes, was the spiritual ancestor of the Z51 package.

C4 Corvette: 1984-1996

Corvette Z51

    Do You Need The Z51 Package?
